From time to time we run The Course of Your Life.
Three aims
To understand who God is, what he is doing in our world, and what Jesus Christ has to do with that.
- To see and understand yourself — who you really are, what you’re here for, and what your future holds.
- To discover what God wants you to do with the rest of your life from this point on — not just in a vague general sense (“give him the glory”, “be a good Christian”), but more personally and specifically.
Three Components
- 9 seminars, twice a month in an evening, 7:45 to 9:30 pm. There we dig together into the Bible using the guide book and have teaching input from a great DVD to draw the evening together.
- 9 one-to-one meetings, twice a month (on alternate weeks to the seminars), for one hour. We pair up and meet together to go through Colossians together. The guide book provides everything needed to do this.
- An intensive from Friday lunch time to Saturday late afternoon, at the church building, to bring home what we have been learning.
The different components of the course fit together and complement each other and run over a period of about 6 months. This does take time commitment but it is time out to redirect the course of our lives!
This Course follows on well from the Growth Group. People do The Course of Your Life instead of a Home Group and afterwards (re)join a Home Group.
