A Sunday school was commenced in April 1994 and it soon became clear that there was local support for a fuller range of services and meetings. From Sunday 6th November 1994 the Sunday afternoon service was replaced with morning and afternoon services and the prayer meeting moved from Friday to Wednesday evenings. In January 1995 a Coley/Carey membership was recognised, twenty-five members having committed themselves to the work in Coley Park. In July of that year Allan Tribe was appointed Pastor and, in October 1996, these members unanimously appointed two additional Elders, David Magowan and Richard Webb.
In 1997 Allan Tribe urged the church to seek a younger pastor for the next phase of the work upon his retirement at the end of the following year. In September 1998 the church called Steve Scrivener to take up the Pastorate with effect from 1st November that year. The hand of God having been so clearly seen in these developments, Carey Baptist Church simultaneously recongnised the renewed independence of the church five years after its desicion to replant it.
In 2009, after 7 years of patient and faithful fundraising, the Church fulfilled a long held vision to renovate the Church building for developing the church's ministry and outreach into the community of Coley Park. The building was launched with a community open day on 15th March, followed shortly by new activities including the Wednesday Coley Cafe.
